An Indian Air Force Aircraft Has Evacuated 76 Indians And 36 Foreign Nationals From Wuhan, The Epicenter Of Coronavirus Outbreak.
The Aircraft Brought Back 112 People Including 23 Citizens From Bangladesh, Six From China, Two Each From Myanmar And The Maldives And One Each From South Africa, The US And Madagascar.
The Evacuations From China's Wuhan Are Taken To ITBP Facility On The Outskirts Of Delhi Where They Will Be Kept In Quarantine For The Next 14 Days.
The 15 Tonnes Of Medical Supplies On Board The Air Force's C-17 Globemaster Aircraft Included Masks, Gloves And Other Emergency Medical Equipment Sent By India To China.
The Assistance Is A Mark Of Friendship And Solidarity From The People Of India Towards The People Of China As The Two Countries Celebrate 70th Anniversary Of Establishment Of Diplomatic Relations This Year, Said The The Ministry Of External Affairs (MEA).
It Has Also Imposed A Travel Ban To Italy, South Korea And Iran Due To The Virus Outbreak.
